About The Filth Party

The Filth Party is a worker-powered initiative tearing down the façade of nightlife’s worst actors. We shine a harsh, unfiltered light on specific cases of wage theft, retaliatory firings, discrimination, and harassment—revealing how these abuses unfold on the ground through erratic schedules, coerced silence, and manipulative power plays.

Alongside our rigorous journalism and fearless exposés, we provide essential tips and resources to ensure nightlife workers know their rights and how to protect themselves.Every investigation begins with the raw truths of workers who’ve endured harm and concludes with documented proof: pay stubs, shift logs, texts, contracts, and emails managers never expected anyone else to see.

If you’ve ever been made to feel disposable in the very places you’ve kept alive, The Filth Party speaks for you.

Founded by Alberto Newman—a hardworking sound designer barback and nightlife worker in San Francisco—TheFilthParty is grounded in firsthand knowledge of the scene and driven by a refusal to normalize harm in spaces built for and by queer labor.

in his off-hours, alberto finds quiet in the unexpected: summers spent in winters, weekend detours through weed, and that one strange month spent halfway between garberville and a place no one wanted to name.
